Rock Climber Who Died Near Boulder Falls Identified By Coroner

The man fell from the waterfall in Boulder County, authorities said.

BOULDER, CO — A rock climber who died near Boulder Falls Friday has been identified as Charlie Liebman, 21, of Poway, California, the Boulder County Coroner's Office said.

The sheriff's office was called to the scene at about 6:25 p.m. Friday, and after launching a search, found the climber unconscious about 20 minutes later above Boulder Falls, the office said.

Medical personnel began administering first aid, but Liebman was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene.

Liebman was with a group of people when he fell, the Daily Camera reports.

The Boulder County Coroner's Office and the Boulder County Sheriff's Office are investigating the death.
