• Polis signs heavily rewritten bill to fund health-insurance subsidies to Coloradans (tsscolorado.com) — State Sen. Barbara Kirkmeyer of Brighton is at the center of a major fight over Colorado’s Health Insurance Affordability Enterprise, which Gov. Jared Polis just temporarily rescued with a $140 million bond plan. Supporters say the move prevents steep premium hikes and coverage losses, while Kirkmeyer and other Republicans warn the fee-funded enterprise may violate TABOR and invite lawsuits. Lawmakers must still craft a long-term fix next year.
