Colorado Man Arrested With Mask, Knife At Taylor Swift's Home

Julius Sandrock, 38, of Broomfield, was arrested in LA Saturday. Police found rope, gloves, a knife and prescription opioids in his car.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A Broomfield man arrested by Los Angeles police outside the Beverly Hills home of pop singer Taylor Swift, wearing a mask and with a knife in his car, was released Tuesday.

Julius Sandrock, 38, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of stalking. Police obtained a temporary restraining order against him to prevent him from obtaining or possessing firearms.

Sandrock was freed from jail on Tuesday, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department website, the Associated Press reported.

Sandrock was wearing a mask and rubber gloves when he was arrested. He told police he had driven from his home in Broomfield, Colorado, to see Swift. Swift, 28, who also lives in New York, was not in the residence.

Police also found rope, ammunition, more masks and gloves and prescription medications, including oxycodone, according to the police report. Sandrock told police he owned three handguns and was on probation in Colorado for firing one of them illegally.

The Denver Post reported that Sandrock was arrested by Arvada police in June, 2017 and he was charged with "felony menacing-real/simulated weapon." Sandrock pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor for disorderly conduct, discharging a firearm, in January. He was serving a two-year probation term.
