• Adams 12 district recommends closing 6 schools to save $5 million (dailycamera.com) — Families in Broomfield should know that Adams 12 is recommending closing Centennial Elementary, sending its students to Arapahoe Ridge Elementary after the 2026–27 school year. The broader plan would shut six schools across Northglenn, Thornton, Westminster and Broomfield, affecting more than 1,500 students and 340 staff, with a final board vote expected October 7.

• Front Range Passenger Rail District, Colorado, Levy Sales Tax to Fund Colorado Connector Train Measure (November 2026) (ballotpedia.org) — Broomfield residents could see a new 0.333% sales and use tax to help fund the proposed Colorado Connector passenger rail line linking cities along the Front Range, including Broomfield. Voters across the Front Range Passenger Rail District will decide the measure in November 2026, with revenues dedicated to building and operating the train and subject to annual independent review.
