• Western Colorado nonprofit works to prepare older residents for wildfires (kkco11news.com) — Older Carbondale residents are getting extra help preparing for wildfire evacuations, thanks to an AARP-funded project run by Age Friendly Carbondale. Volunteers are showing locals what to pack in go bags, handing out starter supplies, and teaching simple ways to harden homes against fire, with hopes that this model spreads to other Colorado communities.
