• Final set of Girls High School Soccer Rankings released for Spring 2026 campaign (soccerwire.com) — Castle Rock’s Castle View High School girls soccer team finished the spring season ranked No. 10 in the nation in United Soccer Coaches’ final Top 25 poll. The Sabercats capped a strong 13-2-3 campaign, putting Castle Rock on the map alongside powerhouse programs from Missouri, Illinois, North Carolina, Georgia, and Fort Collins’ Fossil Ridge.
   

• Douglas County water plan entering new phase (denvergazette.com) — Castle Rock Water plays a major role in Douglas County’s new long-range water plan, which is now entering a public review phase. The draft outlines groundwater studies, supply-and-demand projections through 2050, and recommendations that could influence development, conservation, and private wells, while Castle Rock keeps control of its own water policies but may align with county guidance.
   

• Douglas County passes ordinance regulating off-highway vehicles (kdvr.com) — Douglas County commissioners, meeting in Castle Rock, have immediately enacted a new ordinance targeting illegal use of low-powered scooters and off-highway vehicles on roads, sidewalks and parks, with fines and parental liability for repeat offenders. The rules exclude standard e-bikes, require helmets for riders under 18, and aim to close gaps in state law as powerful electric dirt bikes become more common among kids.
