• Teens arrested for auto theft (gjsentinel.com) — Deputies say a stolen truck was driven repeatedly between Clifton and Loma before two teenage suspects were arrested and the vehicle returned to its owner. The truck was first reported missing from Grand Junction, then spotted near Loma and Fruita, with coordinated work by the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office and Fruita Police bringing the case to a close within hours. 
• District 51 gets grant to help low-income families access after-school, summer programs (kkco11news.com) — Families in Clifton could soon get more help affording after-school and summer programs, thanks to a new grant awarded to the District 51 Foundation. The funding will support a developing program aimed at giving low-income Mesa County students broader access to safe, enriching activities beyond the school day.
