Law enforcement apprehends suspect in Clifton burglary, finds drug paraphernalia (westernslopenow.com) — Law enforcement has arrested a suspect in connection with a burglary at a Clifton business on the 3200 block of I‑70 Business Loop. Officers say they identified the man from evidence at the scene and found drug paraphernalia during his arrest, and the case remains under active investigation.
   

2. Woman arrested after breaking in and barricading inside Clifton home (westernslopenow.com) — Deputies arrested a woman early Wednesday after she allegedly broke into a home on the 3200 block of E 1/2 Road in Clifton and barricaded herself in a room. Mesa County Sheriff’s Office says the homeowner confirmed no one had permission to be inside before deputies entered and took her into custody. The case remains under investigation, and no further details are available yet.
   

3. CDOT curbs Clifton Fire station response delays (gjsentinel.com) — Emergency response from the Clifton Fire Protection District should be faster now that CDOT has lowered a problematic curb on U.S. Highway 6 in front of the station. After months of discussion, fire officials and state engineers agreed on a curb cut that only fire crews will use, aiming to balance public safety with quick access for Clifton emergencies.

Animal Control Officers recognized during appreciation week (kkco11news.com) — Animal control officers who respond to calls in Clifton and the rest of unincorporated Mesa County are being recognized this week for juggling everything from loose dogs to wildlife over a huge territory.
