Coroner IDs Pedestrian Killed On I-25 In Colorado Springs
The man struck by a semi and killed trying to cross I-25 Wednesday night was identified by authorities Thursday.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- The El Paso County Coroner identified the pedestrian killed Wednesday on I-25. Jeremy Valdez, 47, whose hometown was not provided, tried to cross the southbound expressway just north of Garden of the Gods around 6 p.m. He was struck by a semi truck. Police closed the southbound lanes for several hours.
It was not clear why Valdez was on the highway. Colorado Springs police said it was unlikely that drugs, alcohol or careless driving played a role in the accident.
