COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- The El Paso County Coroner identified the pedestrian killed Wednesday on I-25. Jeremy Valdez, 47, whose hometown was not provided, tried to cross the southbound expressway just north of Garden of the Gods around 6 p.m. He was struck by a semi truck. Police closed the southbound lanes for several hours.It was not clear why Valdez was on the highway.
