Fire Rips Through Colorado Springs Apartment Complex
No injuries were reported in a fierce blaze that burned several units in southeast Colorado Springs.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- In the second major residential fire in a month, a fierce blaze swept through a southeast Colorado Springs apartment complex Wednesday. The fire damaged several buildings at The Vue Apartments in the 1800 block of Ralph's Ridge Road, Colorado Springs Fire Department said. No injuries were reported.
The fire was out by around 1:30 p.m., but photos showed the damage was significant.
On March 26, a fast moving fire destroyed 20 units in a townhouse complex, also in southeast Colorado Springs. Fire investigators found a woman's careless flipping of a lit cigarette into a mulch planter caused the blaze, which was fueled by an open gas line and high gusts of winds.
