1. Mt. Crested Butte advocates for post office support and zip code recognition (crestedbuttenews.com) — Mt. Crested Butte’s town council is pressing the U.S. Postal Service to fix chronic problems at the Crested Butte Post Office and to properly recognize the town’s 81225 ZIP code in national address systems. Local leaders say mislabeling Mt. Crested Butte addresses hurts sales tax collection, delays deliveries, and can even misdirect 911 responders, and they’re now coordinating with federal advocates to push for long-term solutions.
