• After 3 decades, Crested Butte ski film company is still on tour (coloradosun.com) — Crested Butte again hosts the world premiere of Matchstick Productions’ new ski film, “The Way Out,” continuing a three-decade tradition that kicks off locals’ winter stoke. Founder Steve Winter explains how the company, born in Crested Butte, survived industry upheavals by keeping its tour model strong, while skier Mark Abma returns to ride, meet fans, and celebrate the town’s tight-knit ski culture.
   

• Colorado Ski Resorts Opening Dates so far (kygo.com) — Crested Butte skiers can circle Nov. 25 as the tentative opening day for the local mountain, part of a statewide lineup of resorts aiming for stronger conditions after last winter’s weak snow. The list, which will be updated as plans firm up, helps locals compare Crested Butte’s start to other Colorado areas and prepare for the coming season.
