Please join us for the opening reception of our latest indoor exhibition at the Madden Gallery at MOA, "VIEWFINDERS" on Friday, August 14, 2026 from 5:00 - 8:00PM. This event is free and open to the public. We will have a hosted bar with complimentary beer and wine for MOA members, as well as a full bar with beverages for purchase and complimentary hors d'oeuvres for all guests. Also enjoy live music by WireWood Station throughout the event.
VIEWFINDERS is a large-scale photography exhibition featuring more than 100 works by historic and contemporary artists, including 22 rare Edward S. Curtis photogravures on loan from the Denver Public Library. The exhibition opens August 14, 2026 at MOA’s Madden Gallery in Greenwood Village and remains on view through October 23, 2026.
Presented as part of MOA’s 2026 Americana-themed programming commemorating the 250th anniversary of American independence and the 150th anniversary of Colorado statehood, VIEWFINDERS explores the evolving visual identity of the American West through photography spanning more than a century.
In addition to photography, VIEWFINDERS will feature antique cameras displayed as sculptural objects throughout the gallery, further exploring the history of image-making and visual storytelling.
