Caught On Camera: Denver Safeway Robber, Beer Shoplifter

DENVER, CO -- Police are seeking the public's help identifying two men captured on camera at separate locations in Denver April 20.

In the first instance, a man allegedly robbed a Safeway grocery store in the Five Points neighborhood in the 700 block of East 20th Avenue around 5:15 p.m. the photo released of video surveillance shows a man described as a white male, around age 30-49 years old and 5' 10" tall. No further information was given about the robbery.

Then, at 6:17 p.m., a man was caught on video grabbing cases of beer at Rainbow Liquors in the 2000 block of South Federal Boulevard. Police said he assaulted a clerk while fleeing the store. He was described as a white male in his 40, about 6' tall and 160 lbs.

A $2,000 reward is offered by Metro Denver Crime Stoppers for information leading to the arrest of either of these suspects. Callers can remain anonymous. The tip line is answered 24 hours a day - 7 days a week
