Landmark Recovery Opens First Addiction Treatment Center in Colorado to Meet Increased Need for Substance Abuse Support

AURORA, Colo., –July 19, 2022– Landmark Recovery, the nation’s fastest-growing drug and alcohol addiction treatment provider, opened the doors to its 12th treatment facility, Landmark Recovery of Denver at 2000 Blackhawk Street in Aurora, Colorado.
Landmark Recovery staff welcomed Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman and other city officials during a ribbon cutting ceremony held Monday, July 18, to celebrate and tour the 80-bed treatment facility that will add 85 full- and part-time jobs to the area. Landmark Recovery of Denver will provide medical detox, residential treatment, and outpatient services to those suffering from substance use disorders. Unlike other treatment facilities, Landmark welcomes patients with a dual diagnosis, meaning those with mental health issues and substance use disorders.
“There is an overwhelming need for more addiction treatment programs in Colorado, a state that lost 1,913 residents to drug overdose last year. That’s a 25% increase over the previous year,” said Michelle Dubey, chief clinical officer for Landmark Recovery. “It’s estimated that one out of every eight adults in Colorado will experience a substance use disorder. While most people struggling with an addiction may not overdose, they will lose valuable moments of life. They won’t reach their full potential and risk damaging relationships with family and friends. Landmark Recovery can change that, and help people live happier, healthier lives.”
