Student Snapchat posts from Denver's George Washington HS won the Colorado Dept. of Transportation's "Seatbelt Schooled" contest.

DENVER, CO -- Teens at Denver's George Washington High School took to Snapchat to encourage their peers to wear a seatbelt for driver safety. GWHS was awarded the Colorado Championship Belt by the Colorado Dept. of Transportation. It's a trophy that "combines a championship boxing/wrestling belt with a seat belt," according to a CDOT press release.
CDOT challenged Denver teens to use targeted Snapchat geofilters, designed specifically for their school, to Snap seat belt-themed photos to friends and CDOT’s SeatBeltContest Snapchat account.

George Washington High School students were declared the winners with 215 seatbelt-themed Snaps between Sept. 18-22, the most out of all 30 participating high schools.
