- Denver passes new ordinance single-use utensils and condiments. Just when you thought not using straws would save the turtles, here comes Denver with a new set of rules around items for takeout food. The 'Skip The Stuff' ordinance as it is known as, requires all restaurants and third-party delivery services to provide single-use items only upon customer request – in hopes of moving the needle on Denver's dismal recycling rate. - Dirty, Dirty Denver. In a recent study, Denver ranked a disappointing 5th nationwide when it came to 'most greenhouse gas emissions' per capita, and its overall rating, Denver was ranked number 59 on the list of 200 dirtiest cities in the US. (Out There)
- Is something fishing going on at the Downtown Aquarium? Employees at the aquarium have expressed tconcerns about the conditions of the facility and how the marine life is treated. The whistleblowers have supplied plenty of damning information about what is really going on at the restaurant/aquarium. (Westword)
- Denver to pay $500k to student shot in the eye by police. Denver City Council unanimously approved the payout, which settles the lawsuit that was filed against the Denver Police Department after the 2020 protests.(9News)
- Where's muh mail? Residents in south of Denver want to know why their mail delivery is delayed. USPS says the service disruptions are due to the impacts of the pandemic and was working to solve the issues. (7news)
