Georgia-based SweetWater Brewing Taps into Colorado Beer Market

SweetWater Brewing Co. is making a splash into Colorado, bringing its tasty brews and 420 spirit to the Centennial State. The Georgia brewery returns to its roots - where co-founder Freddy Bensch began his brewing career nearly 30 years ago while attending the University of Colorado - embarking into its furthest western market to date.

As one of the largest craft breweries in the U.S., SweetWater will open a state-of-the-art brewery in Fort Collins - its first brewery location outside of its hometown of Atlanta and into the West - along with its second airport bar in the U.S. that will open in the Denver International Airport on July 12.

The Fort Collins craft brewery will soon begin producing and pouring its year-round seasonal brews in addition to exclusive specialty beers for West Coast brew drinkers. Located at 1020 E Lincoln Ave., Fort Collins, CO 80524, the brewery will also undergo an extensive $2 million dollar renovation to bring the unique, laid-back atmosphere SweetWater is known for delivering to its visitors.

Beer lovers and travelers alike will also appreciate the convenience of SweetWater’s Mountain Taproom in Concourse B, situated in the heart of the high-traffic Denver International Airport. The full-service bar and restaurant will provide the perfect space to crack open a refreshing pre-flight brew and enjoy some delicious grub before departing. Travelers will have an exciting selection of ice-cold draft, can and bottle brews to savor, along with a full bar and classic pub delights such as burgers, wings and salads.
