Lopez Recognized as Future Leader, Promoted to NHA at Spearly Center

Juniper Communities, a leading provider of senior living communities, is pleased to announce the promotion of Marie Lopez to Nursing Home Administrator of Juniper Village - The Spearly Center, located in Denver, CO. Lopez has also been selected as a Future Leader 2023 by Aging Media Network for her exemplary work in the field of skilled nursing care. The Spearly Center is unique in that it provides skilled long-term care and short-term rehabilitation to 130 residents who have chronic brain injuries, chronic mental illness, or neurological disorders.

In being chosen for the Future Leader 2023 award, several characteristics were noted. Lopez’s sense of drive and enthusiasm to help those less fortunate. Her innovation in tackling tremendous challenges within the provision of behavioral mental health services. Her heartfelt, realistic manner; and associates feel confident in her skill and decision making as she leads during these unprecedented times.

Marie Lopez has a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration and an unencumbered nursing home administrator license. She attained these during her 11 years of working at The Spearly Center. When Lopez decided that this was the field for her, she knew that it required values she already embodied, like compassion and understanding.

At home, Lopez finds great joy in fulfilling appetites as she loves cooking for her family and friends. She’s a huge football fan as well, with her favorite player being her high school aged son.
