Man Accused Of 2015 Murder Of Wife Appears In Denver Court

A Denver man accused two-and-a-half years after the 2015 death of his wife appeared in Denver court Friday. Robert Feldman, 53, was charged with one count of first-degree murder in the wife of Stacy Feldman, 44, according to a statement from the Denver District Attorney's office. Feldman was arrested Feb. 13 and held in the Denver jail without bail.
Feldman told police March 1, 2015 that he allegedly found his wife dead in the bathtub of their home in the 3600 block of South Pontiac Way with the shower running around 4 p.m.. He told police she had ingested marijuana edibles the night before and that morning and that she had said she was not feeling well, according to an autopsy report.

The report said Stacy Feldman's body was covered with slight cuts and abrasions on her face, scalp, trunk and legs. A toxicology report said Stacy Feldman's blood contained traces of the anti-overdose drug naxalone and anti-depressants. However, the autopsy report said the cause of Stacy Feldman's death could not be determined.
“Given the information available to us at this time, it is our opinion that the cause and manner of death of this 44-year-old female, Stacy Feldman, cannot be determined,” the autopsy report said. “Should further information become available after the signing of this report, the cause and/or manner of death may be amended.”

Robert Feldman, originally from Canada, worked for a time in metro Denver in the food business. According to his LinkedIn profile, Feldman was employed as a salesman at an Englewood-based frozen food company. Jim Windholz of Colorado Food Company confirmed Feldman was employed by the company, but said he separated from the firm August of 2011.
Stacy Feldman lived in Indiana and Denver and worked in the non-profit sector, most recently at rare disease charity PSC Partners in Englewood, according to her obituary. The Feldmans had two children, the obituary said. Denver Channel 9 reported court filings showed a family member appeared to have applied for custody.
Feldman was the president of the PTO at Southmoor Elementary School in southeast Denver, according to the Intermountain Jewish News. Her funeral was held on March 4, 2015 at Temple Emanuel in Denver.
The arrest affidavit for the case remained sealed Tuesday when Robert Feldman appeared at an advisement hearing Tuesday. He was represented by the Public Defender.
