Man Accused Of Stealing And Crashing RTD Bus, Carjacking
A 26-year-old man faces multiple felony charges after a crime spree in Denver, the DA's office said.
DENVER, CO — A man is accused of stealing an RTD bus and another vehicle Monday and crashing both. Solomon Garcia, 26, faces multiple felony charges in connection with a string of crimes that lasted about 20 minutes, according to the Denver District Attorney's Office.
A city driver was sitting alone in an RTD bus on Federal Boulevard when Garcia opened the door and threatened him with a gun, KDVR reported. Garcia stole the bus and crashed it at West Sixth Frontage Road, police said.
Garcia then carjacked a vehicle nearby and got into another crash, authorities said.

Garcia faces multiple felony charges, including two counts of first-degree aggravated motor vehicle theft, two counts of endangering public transportation, aggravated robbery and criminal attempt to commit second-degree burglary, the district attorney's office said.
