New Thornton Outlet Mall: Opening Day, Jobs Fair

THORNTON, CO – The Denver Premium Outlets mall in Thornton will swing open its doors to frenzied consumers in this fall, with a Grand Opening Thursday Sept. 27. Special events, entertainment and activities will continue through Sunday, September 30 at the new complex near I-25 at 136th Avenue, about 15 miles north of downtown.

Before opening, the mall will host a job fair to fill 500 positions.

The new 330,000 sq. ft. brick-and-mortar shopping mall will feature 80 shops, as well as public spaces "designed to be a community hub for the area, offering scenic grassy spaces to relax or picnic, architectural shade structures with comfortable soft seating arrangements, water features, a fireplace for chilly evenings and an interactive play experience for children," Indiana-based shopping mall developers Simon announced.

New stores announced Friday include:

• Ann Taylor Factory Store
• Calvin Klein
• Christopher & Banks
• LOFT Outlet
• Merrell®
• Tommy Hilfiger
• vineyard vines
• Volcom

Previously, Simon had announced the following stores had committed to the mall: American Eagle Outfitters, A|X Armani Exchange, Banana Republic Factory Store, BOSS-Hugo Boss, Coach Outlet, Cole Haan Outlet, kate spade new york, Michael Kors, Nike Factory Store, Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store and Under Armour.

And, they're going to need retail employees.

Denver Premium Outlets will host a job fair on Thursday, August 16 at The Westin Westminster to fill more than 500 full- and part-time management, maintenance, sales, guest services, security and customer service positions. From 9 a.m. – 7 p.m., job seekers should dress up, and bring copies of their resumes for on-site interviews with participating retailers, a press release said.
