• East Colfax businesses in Denver hope to capitalize on improvements following Bus Rapid Transit project (cbsnews.com) — Businesses along Denver's East Colfax are finally seeing buses running after two tough years of Bus Rapid Transit construction, and many are using new Denver Urban Renewal Authority grants to repair and upgrade their spaces. From replacing shattered windows to fixing HVAC systems and improving patios, owners hope these investments and new "Anything Can Happen on Colfax" events will bring customers back.
   

• Denver South vs. Denver North: Colorado High School Girls Volleyball, Oct. 1, 2026 (chsaanow.com) — Denver volleyball fans can watch Denver South visit Denver North today, Oct. 1, in a 5A City League matchup between two closely ranked girls' teams. Denver South enters at 4-6 on a two-game win streak, while Denver North sits at 5-5 and looks to rebound at home, with full rosters and league standings setting up a competitive neighborhood showdown.
   

• 'Always A Boy' Premieres At JAAMM Fest Oct. 9 (boulderjewishnews.org) — Denver theatergoers can catch the local premiere of "Always A Boy" at the Mizel Arts & Culture Center's Pluss Theatre from October 9–25, with a streaming option on October 24. The play, adapted from Jo and Jeremy Ivester's memoir about a family's gender journey, explores identity, love, and acceptance, and offers sliding-scale and hardship tickets for wider community access.
