Saturday Air Quality Advisory Issued For Metro Denver, Boulder
Public health officials have issued a smoke advisory for the Front Range.

Air quality in metro Denver and Boulder is expected to worsen Saturday as smoke flows in from the Cameron Peak and Mullen wildfires, public health officials said.
Fine particulate matter concentrations from the smoke are expected to be in the 'unhealthy for sensitive groups' and 'unhealthy' categories on Saturday along the Front Range, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
"The entire Front Range region remains under an Action Day for Fine Particulates until at least 4 pm Saturday," the agency said in an air quality advisory.

Visibility along the Front Range is expected to be in the 'poor' category Saturday, public health officials said.
"An increase in fine particulate concentrations is expected across northern parts of the Front Range region including Fort Collins, Greeley, Longmont, and the Denver Metro area," the advisory read.

"Elsewhere throughout the Front Range, lower foothills, and adjacent eastern plains, Moderate concentrations of fine particulates are expected on Saturday."
Ozone concentrations in metro Denver and Boulder are expected to be in the 'good' category.

Carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide levels are also expected to remain in the 'good' category on Saturday, health officials said.
