Series of Job Fairs, Events Planned For Denver Area Job Seekers

DENVER, CO — Job seekers and employers alike could benefit from a series of events planned in September in recognition of Workforce Development Month. Denver Economic Development & Opportunity will host job fairs, free trainings and workshops this month to assist area local residents in finding new career opportunities.

According to the city, the events are also targeted to employers and will promote staff recruitment, retention and training services provided through DEDO’s workforce development division, Denver Workforce Services.

A selection of events planned include:

Sept. 4: Path to Community Resource Fair - A number of support services and resources are available to those who may have barriers to employment. At this event, learn more from more than a dozen nonprofit and community organizations.

Sept. 10: Government Job Fair - Denver Workforce Services will host a job fair in conjunction with representatives from local, state and federal agencies. A separate resource fair is offered Sept. 5, where tips will be offered on how to tailor your resume and prepare to compete for government positions.

Sept. 14: Discover Denver Job & Career Fair - More than 20 employers will be on hand to recruit professional entry-level positions and higher.

Sept. 18: Path to Payday Job Fair - This job fair will feature more than 20 employers across a range of industries, who are hiring immediately for entry- to mid-level positions.

Sept. 25: Path to Construction Job Fair - individuals can learn more about construction projects planned for Denver, as well as associated job and long-term career opportunities. Training options will also be covered, including pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship training.

Sept. 26: Employer Services Symposium - Learn about the services offered to employers, ranging from how to post job openings to hosting customized recruitment events to training subsidies.
