Top U.S. Cities For Halloween Parties: How Metro Denver Ranks
Metro Denver is one of the best places in the country to celebrate Halloween, according to two reports.
DENVER, CO — Metro Denver is the 4th best place in the nation to celebrate Halloween, according to a new report by Evite. More than 30,300 Denverites were invited to Halloween parties through the website in 2018.
Evite's top ten places for parties:
- Austin – 32.2K
- Chicago – 31.5K
- Atlanta – 31.3K
- Denver – 30.3K
- Houston – 29.5K
- San Diego – 29K
- Los Angeles – 23.9K
- Seattle – 23.6K
- Portland – 22.9K
- Dallas – 21.2K
Metro Denver also made it onto WalletHub's Best Places for Halloween 2019 list. Our region was ranked 59th overall. The list compared 100 of the largest cities in the United States across 21 key metrics of Halloween friendliness, ranging from the number of potential trick-or-treating spots, to the number of Halloween stores per capita, to the forecasted levels of rain on Oct. 31.

New York City ranked as the best place to be on Halloween in the nation, according to WalletHub, followed by Los Angeles and Boston.

Denver took home the unfortunate last place position for the worst projected weather forecast on Halloween.
The average household in the United States is projected to spend $86.27 on Halloween related expenses in 2019, according to the National Retail Federation. That comes to an incredible $8.8 billion in total, which is the third highest amount in the past 15 years.
