We have good news for all coffee lovers: on Oct. 11, The DNVR Coffee Company will officially open, with plans to move to the adjacent kiosk (formerly WoodGrain Bagel) in the coming months.

Udalio “Del” Quiel, director of facilities management at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus, stumbled upon the coffee cart. “He invited us to have a pop-up at Anschutz, and it felt natural to continue the relationship with CU Denver,” Eatherton said.

Like CU Denver, DNVR Coffee Co. is progressive in many ways, from its mobility to its mission statement. Eatherton, a geologist by trade, said he started Denver Coffee Co. as a side project to prove that he could grow a company while paying his employees a livable wage. So far, it’s worked. Denver Coffee Co. is now a thriving full-time business. “We have deep-seated roots in workers’ rights, labor rights, and peoples’ rights,” Eatherton said, adding, “We also believe in keeping prices low for our consumers, and that fits pretty well with most students’ lifestyles.”

DNVR Coffee Co.’s menu includes hot coffee, espresso, lattes, cold brew, chai, hot chocolate, and herbal teas, as well as to-go snacks. Starting Oct. 11, it will be open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
