It’s time to switch gears! Say goodbye to summer vibes and hello to chilly temps, spooky scenes, and pumpkin-themed everything. Lucky for us, campus is located in the heart of Denver, which offers an abundance of activities for every season, from a fall flannel festival at the Dairy Block to a night of terror at one of the city’s favorite theme parks just a short walk away.

Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit Denver
Come experience Van Gogh’s imagination with art like never before. Projections offer moving images of his still-life paintings, bright landscapes, and night scenes on a breathtaking scale. Be prepared to be astonished.
When: Opens Sept. 30
Where: Lighthouse Denver, 3900 Elati St.
Pumpkin Harvest Festival
This fall festival offers fun for the entire family, with live music, axe throwing, games, and more. Be sure to check out the marketplace for handmade crafts and fall decor. Plus, you’re never too old to hitch a ride on a tractor.
When: Oct. 1 – Oct. 3
Where: Four Mile Historic Park, 715 S. Forest St.
Fright Fest
Day or night, Denver’s favorite theme park (within walking distance of campus) offers Halloween-themed festivities for all ages. Check out “Family by Day” for sights of mini ghosts wandering around the park. If you’re looking for chills and thrills, “Fright by Night” is for you. Don’t forget to dress up!
When: Oct. 2 – Oct. 31

Fall Flannel Festival
Celebrate fall with your coziest attire at the Dairy Block alley’s 4th annual Fall Flannel Festival. From live music and a photo booth to seasonal food at every corner, there’s something for everyone.
When: Oct. 17
Where: Dairy Block at the Milk Market, 1800 Wazee St.
Glow at the Gardens
Don’t want to carve any pumpkins? Not a problem! Come enjoy locally harvested pumpkins carved into amazing sculptures and designs and explore widely illuminated landscapes that scream Halloween. Tickets are limited so make sure to get yours early.
When: Oct. 19 – 24
Where: Denver Botanic Gardens, 1007 York St.
Georgetown Loop Train Ride
What better way to see the magical fall foliage than riding in a historic train? There are three trains that currently operate in Georgetown and Silver Plume, both just a short drive from Denver. The train ride is about 55 minutes from mid-October through early January.
When: All season long
Where: Clear Creek County in between Georgetown and Silver Plume
