'Worst Movie Ever Made' Hits Denver + The Comedy About Making It
A double feature of 2003's cult classic The Room will screen with James Franco's 2017 comedy The Disaster Artist at 2 Denver-area theaters.
DENVER, CO -- Cult classic film The Room will be shown in a double-feature at two theaters in metro Denver, along with a 2017 film about making the "worst movie ever made." James Franco’s 2017 comedy The Disaster Artist will be screened starting Dec. 7 around 7 p.m.
According to a press release, The Disaster Artist, tells the story of Tommy Wiseau (Franco), The Room’s eccentric director, and his friendship with Greg Sestero (Dave Franco) as they dream of becoming Hollywood stars.
The Room, originally released in 2003, developed a cult following, and has been called "one of the worst movies ever made." Like Rocky Horror Picture Show, the film developed a strong audience interaction tradition with audience members bringing plastic spoons and soft inflatable footballs which will also be encouraged at the Denver area double features.
