Wrong Stadium Picture Published On Denver Post
The Denver Post accidentally published a photo of the wrong baseball field with a story about the Colorado Rockie's Coors Field opener.

DENVER, CO -- Denver Post readers had a deja vu throwback to Super Bowl Philly fever this morning when they ran a photo of Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia in place of Coors Field on the cover of the Life and Culture section.
The news organization blamed a "production error," but other reporters and journalists worried that the error was a symptom of the gutting of the Post newsroom by corporate owners Alden Global Capital LLC.
"Weird how the Denver Post laid off a ton of journalists, then printed a photo of the stadium in Philadelphia with "Phillies" all over it and called it Coors Field, I'm sure those are two totally unrelated things that happened," tweeted Jesse Spector, national baseball writer for Sporting News.

"When we make a production error, it's a big deal. And I am sorry," tweeted Denver Post editor Dana Coffield "Please enjoy this photo of actual Coors Field while you are sipping coffee in your glass house, @Marshall9News."
Alden Global laid off 30 newsroom staffers last month at the Post, removing about 30 percent of the total newsroom personnel.
