Golden man arrested for road rage shooting along I-70 (canyoncourier.com) — A man who previously lived in Golden has been arrested in connection with a Sept. 29 road-rage shooting near I-70 and West Colfax that left a driver in his 70s wounded but stable. Investigators used traffic and license-plate cameras plus cell data to identify the suspect, as Golden-area drivers are reminded this is the second serious road-rage shooting nearby in just over a year.
   

5. Cheap Gas (goldentoday.com) — Golden drivers once filled up for just 25.9 cents a gallon, as a fierce 1963 gas price war pushed local stations to slash prices to keep loyal customers. While residents enjoyed cheap Sunday drives, at least one Golden station owner watched big sales turn into painful losses because of higher wholesale costs.
