• Bruz Beers Plans New Brewery and Taproom in Golden (whatnow.com) — A Denver-based brewery is building a major new flagship taproom and production facility on South Golden Road, bringing more beer, events, and gathering space right into Golden. Construction is expected to start within months, with a tentative opening in mid-2028, and the company plans to keep its other taproom open while preparing this hometown expansion.

• Energy Department announces Geothermal Center of Excellence (energyglobal.com) — Golden's National Laboratory of the Rockies has been chosen to lead a new U.S. Department of Energy Geothermal Center of Excellence, putting the city at the center of a major national clean-energy effort. The center will coordinate national labs and industry to accelerate geothermal power development and serve as a primary entry point for companies working with DOE.
