Residents can race individually or on teams, sign their kids up for age-based courses, or volunteer, all while supporting the Vail Valley Charitable Fund in memory of Laura Genelin.

• Inside the Colorado mountain effort that will help Artemis astronauts land on the moon (aspentimes.com) — NASA is using Gypsum’s High Altitude Army National Guard Aviation Training Site to prepare Artemis astronauts for tricky lunar landings, taking advantage of local high-altitude terrain and visual illusions. Helicopter flights in Eagle County’s mountains simulate moon-like dust, snow, and lighting, turning rural Colorado training runs into a key piece of America’s return to deep space.
