1 Dead, 5 Injured In Lakewood Crash
A pickup truck ran a red light and struck a sedan, Lakewood police said.
LAKEWOOD, CO — A man died and five people were injured in a crash Sunday in Lakewood, police said. Before the crash, officers received reports of a Ford F-350 driving recklessly on Wadsworth and running red lights, according to authorities.
The truck then ran a right light at West Florida Avenue and struck a westbound sedan in the intersection just before 1 a.m., according to the Lakewood Police Department. The truck spun out through a fence and into a yard.
The driver of the truck was pronounced dead. He's been identified as 23-year-old Nicholas Kassera of Golden, police said. Four people who were also in the truck were taken to a hospital with various injuries.
