JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — Three men have been found guilty in the shooting death of a woman in Golden. After three weeks of trial, the Jefferson County jury deliberated just four hours before returning their verdicts.

Alonso Quintana, 28, and Abel Gallegos, 36, were both found guilty of first-degree murder, the 1st Judicial District Attorney's office announced Wednesday. Rene Rosales, 36, was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree with intent.

In 2018, Cymone Duran, 28, identified Quintana in a lineup after a shooting in Adams County. She was "labeled a snitch" by the three men, who are known gang members, the DA's office said.

Duran was trapped in the back seat of a car, and driven to a dark, secluded spot at 7th and Nile in Golden. She was "lured, kidnapped and shot ten times as she begged for her life," the DA's office said.

The men left, and then Gallegos and Rosales came back later and poured gasoline on Duran's body and set her on fire, authorities said.

During the three-week trial, the jury heard from 50 witnesses and saw more than 400 pieces of evidence.

Quintana and Gallegos face life in prison without the possibility of parole. Rosales faces a "significant prison sentence," the DA's office said.
