• Good Samaritan honored after catching child from second-story window (9news.com) — A Lakewood man is being honored after catching a 4-year-old girl who fell from a second-story apartment window along Wadsworth Boulevard, preventing what could have been a deadly accident. West Metro Fire Rescue presented him with its Citizen Award, recognizing his quick thinking and calm response as 911 guided him through the rescue.
   

• Retired Anglican priest detained by ICE (blogspot.com) — A retired Anglican priest who was arrested in Lakewood has spent nearly a year in ICE detention while his health has sharply declined. Advocates say he is malnourished, largely confined to a wheelchair, and showing worrying respiratory and cancer indicators as state officials press the Aurora detention facility for better tuberculosis oversight.
