3, Including Pregnant Woman, Accused Of Lakewood Armed Robberies

Lakewood officers were involved in a chase with armed robbery suspects Wednesday afternoon, police said.

LAKEWOOD, CO — Three people were arrested Wednesday in connection with a string of armed robberies of businesses in Lakewood, police said.

Lakewood officers saw a vehicle wanted in connection with the robberies around 2 p.m. Wednesday, police said. The vehicle then took off and police followed it into Denver, where Denver police assisted in the chase.

The chase ended near West Jewell Avenue and South Huron Street, near the Overland Golf Course, police said. Three people left the vehicle and took off, but were arrested nearby. One of the them, a pregnant woman, was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.

The Lakewood Police Department is continuing to investigate the robberies. No further information about the crimes was released.
