1. Another hit-and-run on West Colfax. This time it happened in the 2600 block of West Colfax. Wednesday night around 10:38 p.m., a silver SUV struck a pedestrian that was crossing West Colfax Avenue. (9News)
2. Where's the best place to see the leaves change? Late summer monsoons have the potential to light up the mountains this fall when the leaves change. Here's some suggestions for the annual pilgrimage. (FOX31)
3. Colorado fines Jeffco milling plant near Rocky Flats. Regulators claim that the milling site, which reprocesses tons of spent ore from Colorado gold mines is impacting county watersheds. They've forced the operation to close, and fined the operator $12,000. (CO Sun)
4. Metro Denver's dark underbelly. "Denver Noir" is a soon to be released anthology of stories by Akashic Books. The collection of stories that explore the underside of Denver metro area, from Aurora to Lakewood and all the places in between. (Boulder Weekly)
5. Rocky Mountain Gun owners expanding its lawsuits. The gun rights group is suing the City of Boulder, the City of Louisville and Boulder County over recently passed gun control ordinances. (CPR)
