Attempted Child Luring: Lakewood Police Release Sketch of Suspect
Lakewood police released a sketch of the man suspected of approaching a middle school student.

LAKEWOOD, CO -- The Lakewood Police Department released a sketch of the man who allegedly attempted to lure a middle school student on the way home from a bus stop. Police said the man allegedly stopped his dark colored two-door coupe beside a Dunstan Middle School child who was walking home from a bus stop about 2:30 p.m. Feb. 20. The boy was walking near West Wesley Avenue and South Indiana Street, police said.
The man asked the boy is he wanted a ride home, which the boy declined, police said in a statement. The man drove off, but turned his vehicle around and returned, demanding the boy get into the car, police said. At that point, the boy ran home and the car drove away southbound on Indiana Street.
The boy described the suspect as a white male, approximately 40 years of age, with dark brown hair and a full dark beard with some gray in it.
