Belmar's First Silent Disco – A Multi-Generational Dance Party!

Experience Lakewood's first-ever silent disco featuring three channels of music in an all-ages environment. This free community event hosted by Alameda Connects, Alameda Corridor BID, and Belmar kicks off right after the concert in Belmar, inviting everyone to "Disco-ver Alameda" for an unforgettable night of dancing. RSVP for headphones!

The community is invited to break out their dance shoes for a historic night in Belmar to "Disco-ver Alameda". Presented by Alameda Connects, Alameda Corridor BID, and Belmar, Lakewood’s very first Silent Disco is coming to the plaza on August 6 from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, kicking off right after the Street Fest concert concludes. This exciting event is entirely free and open to all ages.

What is a Silent Disco?

For those who have never experienced it, a silent disco is a unique and immersive dance party where the music isn't blasted through giant speakers. Instead, every guest is handed a pair of high-tech wireless headphones. But you have to RSVP so we have enough!

When the headphones are on, the plaza transforms into a vibrant dance floor. When they are taken off, the area is relatively quiet (assuming your friends and family don't sing along!) for both enthusiastic dancers and those who prefer to chat without shouting over loud music.

Three Channels, Three Styles: Fun for Every Generation

The best part of this event is its versatility. The headphones feature three distinct audio channels, each broadcasting a completely different style of music simultaneously. Guests can switch between genres at the click of a button, indicated by glowing LED lights on the headphones that show which channel is being tuned into.
