- By 2080, scientists say Colorado will look more like Arizona. Parts of the Rocky Mountain West are becoming more desert-like due to climate change, and scientists indicate that the shift will likely mean Colorado's climate will become more like Arizona's. Additionally, Colorado will see a 50 to 60 percent reduction in snow by 2080. (7News)
- Jefferson County Library to provide free lunches to children this summer. Many kids and teens rely on their access to free or reduced-fee lunches during the school year. Jeffco libraries jump into fill the need over the summer months. (Patch)
- Are you ready for the miller moth invasion? Millions of moths have begun their annual migration into the Front Range. Bug scientists say the seasonal surge will be exceptionally intense this year, from now until early July. (CPR)
- Homeowners will see faster post-wildfire payouts with new law. Gov. Jared Polis signed a bill into law on Thursday that will help Coloradans that have lost their homes in a wildfire, get their insurance claims paid out more quickly. (CO Newsline)
- Trail Ridge Road reopens after large rock falls onto roadway. The highest continuously paved highway in the United States, reopened in Rocky Mountain National Park on Friday morning. It was closed due to a large amount of snow and a large boulder that had fallen onto the roadway. (CBS4)
