Coronavirus Update In Jefferson County: 73 Cases Confirmed

Here's a look at the rate of Jefferson County cases compared to other counties.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — As of Tuesday afternoon, 73 cases of the new coronavirus were confirmed in Jefferson County. Compared to other counties in Colorado, Jeffco had the fifth-highest number of cases, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

Counties with the highest number of positive COVID-19 cases:

  1. Denver - 176
  2. El Paso - 106
  3. Eagle - 96
  4. Weld - 76
  5. Jefferson - 73

As the fourth most populated county in the state, Jeffco fared well in the state's rate ranking, which assesses the number of cases per 100,000 people:

As of Tuesday afternoon, there were 912 cases of the new coronavirus in 35 counties our state, and around 7,701 people had been tested, public health officials confirmed. There were 84 people hospitalized.
