Crews Battle Fire Behind Lakewood Strip Mall
A large fire behind a Lakewood shopping complex may have been caused by fireworks, West Metro Fire Rescue said.

LAKEWOOD, CO — Fire crews were called to a grass fire behind the Foothills Shopping Center in Lakewood early Tuesday afternoon.
The fire spread to half-an-acre near the 13100 block of West Alameda, according to West Metro Fire Rescue.
A loud boom was heard in the area and witnesses saw a young person running from the field, fire officials said.
