Here are the top stories in Lakewood today:

1. Massive jump in apartment rental prices (again). Over the last year, rent for a one bedroom in metro Denver has jumped nearly 27 percent. Experts say that the rate of growth is higher than the national average, in part, because there's a massive housing shortage – despite the delivery of tens of thousands of new units over the past five years.
