Driver Pushes Pole Up Green Mountain As 'Hood Ornament': Police
A driver crashed into a light pole and then took it for a drive, Lakewood police said.

LAKEWOOD, CO — A driver was arrested after crashing into a light pole in Lakewood and continuing to drive with it as a "hood ornament" up Green Mountain, the Lakewood Police Department said.
The driver veered off the roadway in a Jeep, struck the pole, and pushed it several hundred feet up the mountain, police said. Another driver said the Jeep and its "hood ornament" nearly struck their vehicle, which had a baby inside, according to a social media post.
The driver then ran from the vehicle and jumped several fences before they were caught by police.

“JEEP - Go Anywhere, Do Anything”. Well, unless that “thing” takes you off the road & into a light pole before proceeding to push the pole (now a hood ornament) a couple hundred feet up Green Mountain...before running from the vehicle and getting caught. We are investigating. pic.twitter.com/I1wblHfXTG
