'Endangered' Woman, 64, Missing In Lakewood
Police said Jeanie Baxter, 64, suffers from dementia and recently became homeless upon the death of her brother, with whom she lived.

LAKEWOOD, CO -- Family members and Lakewood police are searching for a 64-year-old woman who may be endangered, police said. Jeanie Baxter has been diagnosed with dementia, family members said.
She formerly lived with her adult brother in Lakewood, but he recently died, police said. When asked by the family to perform a welfare check, police were unable to find Baxter at the Lakewood address where relatives said she formerly lived.
Police last had contact with Baxter on Oct. 11, 2017, when Baxter told police she was recently homeless and had no family in the area, a police statement said. At that time, officers gave her a meal and she said that she would take public transportation to a Denver homeless shelter.
