In 2018, Cymone Duran, 28, identified Quintana in a lineup after a shooting in Adams County. In retaliation, Gallegos reached out to Duran on social media, and she met with him, Rosales and others at a house in Denver on Nov. 5, 2018. She then left the house with Gallegos and Rosales, who assaulted her in a parking lot at West Colfax and Kipling, authorities said.

Duran was trapped in the back seat of a car, and driven to a dark, secluded spot at 7th and Nile in Golden. She was "lured, kidnapped and shot ten times as she begged for her life," the DA's office said.

The men left, and then Gallegos and Rosales came back later and poured gasoline on Duran's body and set her on fire, authorities said.

The three men were tried together. The jury heard from 50 witnesses and saw more than 400 pieces of evidence.

Quintana and Gallegos were both found guilty of first-degree murder. Rosales was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree with intent.
