Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Jefferson County
The National Weather Service has issued a storm alert.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Jefferson County. Storms with intense wind gusts could hit some parts of the county this evening, weather officials said.
"The main impacts will be heavy rain with the potential for localized flooding, especially over fire burn scars," the NWS alert read. "Rainfall rates up to 2 inches in less than one hour are possible with the stronger storms."
The hazardous weather outlook includes all counties in northeast and north central Colorado, weather officials said.

"Further east, there is also a marginal threat of severe thunderstorms through the evening, with hail of one inch in diameter and damaging winds to 60 mph," the NWS alert said. "Showers and thunderstorms will gradually diminish later this evening and overnight."
