- Heat and bad air quality on deck for Thursday. Expect higher than normal temperatures today, along with air quality warnings due to smoke that's moved into the state from western wildfires. (9News)
- Colorado to reopen COVID-19 vaccination sites for new vaccine delivery. Sites previously used across the state to deliver vaccines are set to open as part of the shots that target omicron subvariants of the virus. The Ball Arena site is live and already has 207 appointments filled up out of the 400 doses available. (FOX31)
- Concrete's dirty little pollution secret: It's responsible for more than 8 percent of global carbon dioxide emissions. That's three times the emissions associated with aviation. Algae could provide an equivalent type of material, that could cut emissions by as much as 90 percent. (The Conversation)
- Xcel's coal-fired Comanche-3 power plant is so unreliable, one partner wants to bail. When the Pueblo coal plant is operational, one group is supposed to receive half of the power it produces. In 2020, because of numerous outages, CORE got no power from the plant. (CO Sun)
