Jeffco Open Space Publishes Draft Of Trails Plan

Jefferson County residents are encouraged to review the trails plan —​ the public comment period runs until July 30.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — A draft of the Jeffco Trails Plan has been published for public review. The plan aims to "improve connections and provide convenient access" for residents and visitors, Jeffco Open Space said.

The agency worked with all levels of government, parks districts and non-profit partners to "identify trail opportunities and implementation strategies that increase safety, access, and connectivity," Jeffo Open Space officials said.

  • Establish a "10-minute standard of access" — every Jeffco resident should have access to a park or trail within a 10-minute walk from their doorstep
