JeffCo Students To Collect Food For The Action Center’s Grub Club
Grub Club provides 3-days of food for students experiencing homelessness.
From The Action Center: Jeffco Students are collecting canned goods and non-perishable items to help feed their less fortunate classmates.
According to the Colorado Department of Education, there are over 2,800 homeless and displaced children in Jefferson County. Together with Jeffco Public Schools, Jeffco CSEA, JCEA, Jeffco PTA and Support for all Students, Jeffco kids will collect over 30,000 items for The Action Center’s Grub Club.
The Action Center’s Grub Club program provides a three-day meal supply that discreetly fits into a backpack for Jeffco students experiencing homelessness. The program is aimed at serving emancipated and homeless high school students in a dignified way and helping end hunger.

Students have been collecting goods since early December and will drop-off this mega drive at The Action Center’s warehouse on Saturday, February 9th. With coordinated precision, several families and teachers will drop-off the donations over the course of several hours. Additional students, teachers, and members of above-listed groups will help sort, pallet, and prep the donations for future distributions.
